Peace and the new world order

Hand of the Cause Zikrullah Khadem address the "Peace" that Baha'u'llah has brought to the world. In all religions all the messengers of God spoke of the Day of God, the Day of Baha'ullah. He will make the whole universe anew. Mr. Khadem quoted prophecies fulfilled by the Bab and Baha’u’llah from the Bible. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, and the mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Baha’i World Commonwealth

The beloved Shoghi Effendi tells us everything in the Cause is new and wonderful. Baha’u’llah has said "The earth is but one country mankind is citizens". “The unity of the human race, as envisaged by Bahá’u’lláh, implies the establishment of a world commonwealth in which all nations, races, creeds and classes are closely and permanently united, and in which the autonomy of its state members and the personal freedom and initiative of the individuals that compose them are definitely and completely safeguarded.

New Dimensions of Learning

How are Bahá'ís to begin the move to the new world order of Bahá’u’lláh?  By what means are we to be involved the process to a new world order? We dwell in an old world order or culture rife with darkness, war, hatred and enmity. All around us we hear lamentations of poverty, the cries borne out of agony and misery; the weeping of the hopeless and the calls for succor. All these rise up to the very gates of heaven. We must keep our gaze upon the light and turn away from the darkness. Sweetness is better than poison. In our process of transformation the mysteries we ponder will be revealed.

A Growing Groundswell

Nathan Rustein begins by explaining that happiness is a human right. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá often asked us: “Are you happy?” Tells the story of a Bahá’í Community gripped by sadness. Mr. Rutstein explains why he thinks happiness and the fear of God are related. Told how Louis Gregory and a white Bahá’í went teaching in the deep south during a time when racial hatred was at a peak. Told another story about a non-Bahá’í couple who weren’t married. He drank. She was married to another man. She became pregnant. He describes what happened when they encountered Baha’u’llah and the fear of God.

Race Unity, The Challenge of Peace

Dr. Dumbleton appeared in the Ebony Magazine reprint in 1965. He’s currently a member of the Bahá’í National Race Unity Committee for the USA. He then introduces his fellow panelists: Dr. Steven Yamamoto; Mr. Charles Young; and Ms. Hermione Pickens. Some quotations from the Bahá’í Writings are read to set the tone and background for the presentation. He makes the case that the struggle to overcome racism is at the heart of the goals of unity and peace. Reference to the current state of affairs in South Africa is made. He explains how Bahá’í Covenant relates to peace and unity.

The Baha’i Experience

Mr. Steven Birkland discusses the accelerating movement forward of the Cause. We should not occupy ourselves with the crises all around us. We need to keep our eyes “fixed on the Supreme Horizon”, knowing that God’s Plan is operating in the world. Mentions that God offered the world the Most Great Peace but the kings and rulers rejected Him. Bahá’u’lláh then advised they “cling to the Lesser Peace”. Compares the Lesser Peace to Baha’u’llah’s two methods of preventing crime.
