Dr. DeArujo is introduced by explaining that he has taken a leading role among the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at the United Nations. Dr. DeArujo topic is the importance of the family in the reconstruction of the planet. He begins by quoting ‘Abdu’l-Bahá: “A family is a nation in miniature.”  DeArujo continues, “Enlarge the circle of families and you have a nation. Enlarge the circle of nations and you have humanity.” Both the conditions and the happenings in the family are reflected in the nation.

Dr. DeArujo explains that young people, women and children are in a prime position to influence the peace process. The Bahá’í Writings provide overwhelming evidence of the Bahá’í communities commitment to unity and peace. Gives three approaches youth can use to promote the peace process. Youth also need to focus on the Bahá’í principle of the harmony of science and religion. The Bahá’í Office at the United Nations gave special attention to the advancement of women in Bahá’í communities and shared this information with other non-governmental organizations.

Dr. Rodrigo Corazo begins the panel by speaking about the University for Peace. He speaks in Spanish, with English translation in between. He first defines what exactly the University of Peace is? The concept of how such a University came about because the people of Costa Rica felt that education is a fundamental necessity for Peace.

A review of the Baha'i Writings pertaining to health and healing and the role of the Manifestation of God as the Divine Physician. Comparisons are made between humanity's general view towards healing and those explained in the Baha'i Writings. Shares passages from the Writings concerning the need to utlize both material and spiritual healing. Victor DeAraujo also delves deepen into various passages from the Writings with respect to God, His Manifestations and humanity's process of growth, maturation and healing.

Dr. Victor Arujo begins by reciting a poem he wrote titled: “Indivisible From Us”. He recommends two UNICEF (“United Nations Children’s Fund”) publications related to child education. He recites part of the report he got from the Social and Economic Development Office at the Bahá’í World Centre. Reading from the report he cites the countries in which the various Bahá’í tutorial schools for children exist. He describes how Bahá’í programs are beginning to “tie in” with various UNICEF initiatives. He then described a few countries in which programs are underway.
