The first nine minutes are consumed by Mr. Featherstone’s reading of the 2 June 1982 message of The Universal House of Justice to the Friends gathered at the International Conference in Dublin.
He reviews statistics pertaining to the number of Baha'is and their localties. He laments at the "declining condition" of the Faith in Europe. He appeals to the Friends to arise.

In Part 2 of the “Pattern of Baha’i Life” Hand Featherstone continues with the importance of spriritual qualities to the creation of a "Divine Civilization". Teaching the Cause of God is a very important aspect of achieving the goals of the Faith.

Among Baha’u’llah’s children Abdu’l-Baha and Bahiyyih Khanum became great spiritual giants. He gives examples of how an insignificant person becomes a spiritual giant when they are devoted to teaching the Faith. None of the other children of Baha’u’llah achieved such high spiritual stations. Mirza Muhammad Ali—one of Baha’u’llah’s children—was endowed with great capacity; but he didn’t became a spiritual giant; instead he became a despicable Covenant-Breaker.

Mrs. Hofman calls Baha'is to arise for the vicotry of the Seven Year Plan. She reviews the sacrifices of some distinguished Baha'is including some Hands of the Cause such as Dr. Muhlshlegel and Mr. George Townshend. She recommends the booklet "The Quickeners of Mankind" to all who are contemplating arising for pioneering.
