Ms. Bellows says people are accepting Bahá’u’lláh by the troops every day in Taiwan. She goes on to say, “My personal background is Chinese teaching.” She advises that Teaching the Chinese about the Faith in ‘Chinatown’ in America is going to be difficult. Americans believe stereotypes about Chinese people, such as they are not friendly, that is “not true”. Relationship and trust are very important in teaching Chinese in America. The great success in Taiwan began with the youth. She reviewed the warnings and advice given her by Bahá’í institutions upon reaching Taiwan. She was presented with a list of 40 questions she might be asked by those in governmental authority and how she should answer those questions. She reviews the story of the response of Taiwan’s NSA to the House’s call for a mass increase in new believers. In a short time there were 700 new believers. Jene had been asked to go to Taiwan to “consolidate our [NSA’s] program for new Bahá’í s”. Jene advises America Baha’I assemblies who want to do mass teaching to “concentrate on one area, one kind of people.”
