Role of Religion: Panel Discussion # 2

1983

Jim Nelson begins this talk mentioning how happy Hand of the Cause of God “Louis Gregory” would feel seeing the diverse audience in attendance, “the garden of God’s humanity.” The role of religion in promotion of racial amnity. As a man of the Courts, Jim Nelson says that his profession upholds facts as the way to obtaining justice and equality. He states a basic fact is there is no scientific evidence that supports the belief of racial discrimination or prejudice. The scientific evidence is quiet to the contrary. In fact the scientific definition of a species is that species which is able to reproduce its kind indefinitely, and that ladies and gentlemen is the human race. The human race is a species inseparable. Racial prejudice is not based upon fact, it is based upon human emotions. As such factual argument is impotent in the face of an emotional defense.
