Jim Nelson begins this talk mentioning how happy Hand of the Cause of God “Louis Gregory” would feel seeing the diverse audience in attendance, “the garden of God’s humanity.” The role of religion in promotion of racial amnity. As a man of the Courts, Jim Nelson says that his profession upholds facts as the way to obtaining justice and equality. He states a basic fact is there is no scientific evidence that supports the belief of racial discrimination or prejudice. The scientific evidence is quiet to the contrary.

Judge Nelson speaks of the moral dilemma of spiritual difficulties that exist in a world that is materially plentiful. The teachings of the Bahá’í Faith present principles that are world-embracing and will inevitably bring about peace and unity. He points out that we are born with "default switches" that are animal in nature and we must strive to "switch" to spiritual reactions rather than material ones. He discusses the two standards that exist for every endeavor.

Natural Law Revisited – A Bahá’í Perspective, Judge Nelson reviews the three schools of thought concerning Natural Law—Classical, Relativist and Theological.  There is a fundamental difference between them based on the Source for each school of thought. The Bahá’í Faith provides the “lynchpin” which connects all three theories.  God-given law has existed throughout human history. Now for the first time Bahá’u’lláh’s Revelation provides for a global approach to natural law and provides insitutions for its continuity. “Human rights are God-given rights.
