Models of Racial Unity
Attendance: 700
Welcoming Address
Dr. Henderson begins by pointing out that unity is the principle around which the Baha'i Faith is organized. He takes us back to 1827, when slavery was abolished in New York and through the mid-nineteenth century to the Emancipation Proclamation and America’s Civil War. Baha'u'llah, Prophet Founder of The Baha'i Faith, states that the purpose of religion is to safeguard the interests and promote the unity of the human race.
