Summoning the Heros

1988

In the beginning of the program readers Mitchell Lancaster, Jenn Wallace, Vera Lui and Fina Vizell,  read six vignettes recalling the martyrdom Baha’i youth and other heroic martyrdoms of those Baha'is who sacrificed themselves for love of God and for His Cause. Next  Mr. Iraj Rahmani shared some of his feelings about his Pilgrimage to the Holy Shrines. About 20 youth just arrived directly from pilgrimage and shared experiences. Next Counselor William (“Billy”) Roberts read this short Tablet of Abdu'l-Bahá. “All the meetings must be for teaching the Cause and spreading the message, and suffering the souls to enter into the Kingdom of Bahá’u’lláh. Look at me. All my thoughts are centered around the proclamation of the Kingdom. I have a lamp in my hand searching through the lands and seas to find souls who can become heralds of the Cause. Day and night I am engaged in this work. Any other deliberations in the meetings are futile and fruitless. Convey the message! Attract the hearts! Sow the seeds! Teach the Cause to those who do not know”. Then the youth made pledges to Baha’u’llah about their future sacrifices.
