Shoghi Effendi - Master Builder of a World Civilization

1984

“World Order of Baha’u’llah” was written in the 1930s, a turbulent period that includes The Great Depression, the rise of Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin. People were searching for change and these leaders promised it. Now fifty years later the doctrines of these false hope have been swept away and people are beginning a serious appraisal of the writings of Shoghi Effendi. Shoghi Effendi’s herculean task was to train the Baha’is while attending to a host of tasks, each one of which would constitute a full-time job for anyone. He called American Baha’is to arise and fulfill their promised destiny. He launched the first Seven Year Plan without a single Hand of the Cause to assist him. “Behold the candle, how it gives light. It weeps its life away drop by drop in order to give forth its flame of light."
