The speaker—Dr. Wilma Ellis Kazemzadeh—is a second generation member of a four generation Bahá’í family. She served on Continental Board of Counselors, worked as the administrator of the Bahá’í International community in New York. She talked about the significance of the day and age in which we live. She shared some quotes of Shoghi Effendi about our remarkable opportunities to teach the Faith. Ponder in your heart, strive to understand. We should rise resolutely unified to build dedicated Bahá’í community worldwide. We should see the majesty and power of revelation of Bahá’u’lláh. Not only embrace the Faith but transform the Faith. Teach and raise our children in Bahá’í culture. She gave her advice “If we saw someone or your children change their way of life after they embraced the Faith then get behind them and go with them”. She told the story of young Bahá’í girl who went away for school. She was asked by her parents to be trustworthy and honest. The Bahá’í youth should take on responsibilities for us when they are ready. We should believe and depend on that. Don’t account something as a success without a test; it's not going to happen. There is no growth without pain, if no pain no growth. We all should grow together. Some children are sociopathic, meaning they have no conscience or cannot discern between right and wrong. That is so dangerous. How can we hesitate to teach when we have the key that unlocks all doors. We all have a tomorrow. If you open your heart and direct it to Bahá’u’lláh, we all would be able to say “Lord! We have tried”.
