The talk is on the Writings, especially from the Compilation on Family Life which was newly released by the Universal House of Justice at that time, the start of the 5 Year Plan. She compares the universal model presented by Baha’u’llah which is based on consultation and respect for all members in the family with the various traditional models from various cultures in the world which are largely Patriarchal or Authoritarian. She quotes extensively from the Writings of Baha’u’llah, Abdu’l-Bahá, Shoghi Effendi and the Universal House of Justice to support her points.
