Dr. Watson emphasizes the importance of early childhood learning and its effect on brain development. “Later [learning] than early [learning] is too late.” Connections are made between intellectual growth and the lack of enriching experiences during infancy. It is during the earliest period of a child’s life that the greatest learning is possible. For example, a young child can easily learning two or three languages while an adult would find such a task daunting. At 48 minutes into the presentation the floor is opened for Q & A which exhausts the remaining 18 minutes of this 66 minute presentation.
