First speaker is Professor Rappaport. He says, B.F. Skinner’s notion of operant conditioning though a very important theory overlooks the fact of one’s own inner state and introspection. In it’s own domain it is a valuable theory but “it simply does not work in certain instances”. “To know, to feel and to act is to select”. “What you consider to be important is what you select.” At 13 minutes into the audio Professor William Hatcher is introduced. He is responding to an earlier audio by Dr. Pribram. He speaks at length on the notion of “causality” and how it functions. Similarities and differences are both important to consider when comparing two notions. Dr. Pribaum then respondes to Dr. Hatcher. Dr. Danesh explains that he does not believe that “the soul is an extension of the body”.
