We have anxieties as we look to the unknown. To make the unknown known helps make the anxieties manageable. Divine Guidance gives real Freedom, while license to do anything we like tends to undermine freedom (throw the traffic light rules, and all do their own thing, on their own whim). Being close to God helps us to deal with isolation, loneliness and fear of death. And helps to define our Purpose in Life.
