-Letter from Hand of the Cause of God, Mr. Ali Akbar Furutan, dated October 13, 1984 from the Holy Land read by Dr. A.M. Ghadirian
Dr. Ghaderian’s reading of Hand Furutan’s presentation is in English except for a brief time between five and six minutes—and 21 and 23 minutes—when he reads in Persian. Mr. Furutan went on pilgrimage to the Holy Land twice and met Shoghi Effendi. He then reviews the accomplishments of the Guardianship on many topics.
Dr. Ghadirian talks about one of the minorities in Canada, the Doukhobor. The Doukhobor who are precious, rural, peace-loving people have had to face many challenges. The beloved Guardian has spoke of the Doukhobor. Dr. Ghadirian outlines their origin and their philosophy. He described the Doukhobor Movement as an historical parallel with the Bahá'í Faith. The Doukhobor are a group of Russian pacifists who are migrated to Canada early in the 19th century. The word Doukhobor means "Spirit Wrestlers"; they are part of Spiritual Christianity.
Adolescent Quest Tranquility Though Drugs
"Never before in history has man advanced so dramatically in discovering ways and means to appease his psycho-social needs and to ease his pain and anxiety." Dr. Ghaderian reviews the powers of the rational soul as composed of intelligence, imagination, knowledge and wisdom, comprehension and memory which all emerge from the mind and consciousness. He addressed the effect of drugs on the consciousnesses.
“The current level of life stress is not a novel phenomenon. In fact, the word stress was first used in the fifteenth century” Since the turn of the twentieth century, however, social consciousness of life stress has risen dramatically, particularly in the Western world, and stress and anxiety have become common terms.
Stress was originally defined in reference to human biology. In this talk stress includes artifical and spiritual realities. A broader meaning of stress is suffering.
