Unity - The Creative Foundation of Peace

1984

There is no doubt that peace has been the object of our desire and our thoughts from the beginning of our time. In spite of this when we look at ourselves today we see that we have fundamental difficulties in attaining this very deep desire within ourselves. Why?

Why don’t we have peace, in spite of our efforts and desires we are still far from attaining to this goal.

What is a peace? There are basically two dictionary definitions in dictionary of peace. The first one is described as state of mental or physical quiet, tranquility and calm; and the second is freedom from war or civil strife.

Nations today are either at war or preparing for war. Yet most of us are still seeking the happiness that comes with peace. We will be happy if we can live in peaceful world. A world in which human beings have developed love, respect and friendship with each other; then we will united spiritually and happiness will be possible. Baha'u'llah has said the world’s “peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established".
