Emeric Sala (1906-1990) went on pilgrimage during the time of Shoghi Effendi. For each of the five nights Sala was there he had the Guardian all to himself for three hours. The question of derived infallibility came up. Shoghi Effendi's question to Emeric Sala was this: The derived infallibility of 'Abdu'l-Baha was transferred to whom "after the ascension of 'Abdu'l-Baha?" Sala replied, To you, Shoghi Effendi.
